Covid-19 has been a part of our world for several months, and there’s no telling how long it will continue to impact everyday life. During this outbreak GetMovers adapted and provided extra safety measures to keep staff and clients healthy without sacrificing quality service. All our operations are following directives issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and other relevant local authorities.
What are GetMovers are doing to protect our clients from Covid-19?
Firstly, we monitor and carefully follow updates issued by the health department. Our managers check with local authorities if we’re allowed to operate in a certain zone, because different areas have different policies, and we’re required to travel and do business in different locations. If you’re interested in availing our services, we recommend that you confirm with us if we can operate in your area. It’s best if you ask your homeowners or building management about new moving policies, regulations, and restrictions at least a week before the move, so we also know how to adjust on our end.
Secondly, we added increased safety and sanitation measures to ensure risk-free operations. GetMovers are hyper-vigilant about their cleaning, sanitizing, and safety procedures to reduce the risk of infection and provide clients with the comfort and confidence they need.
Our trucks and equipments are sanitized regularly, both before loading and after unloading. We won’t be using reusable bins and used boxes during our moves. We’ve equipped our workers who will visit homes with boots, gloves, masks, and hand sanitizers. They wash their hands multiple times throughout a day for at least 20 seconds, and we recommend our client washing hands before and after the meeting for added safety.
Our priority is the most comfortable and convenient moving process, so to avoid unnecessary visits and maintain safety throughout the moving process GetMovers advise our clients to sign documents electronically, and to communicate with us via online video calls. They can take videos of the items that will be moved. This reduces the risk of contracting COVID-19 and at the same time still provides an accurate and detailed estimate of moving charges.
Due to our social distancing strategy, which comprises breaking up our primary workforce into three locations, we avoid many employees in a compact place, and at the same time provides distance from one another. Our office personnel and other non-essential employees are working from home, and movers will be the only ones on-site to perform moves. GetMovers constantly receive updated on COVID-19 news and inform our foremen and moving team.
Our company request that clients are able to not participate in the move itself. This means that instead of directing things while items are moving in and out of homes, customers should isolate themselves to a certain quiet area of the home, or leave the premises.
